We will look at issues of safety and security in two
ways:
Safety:
Focus
will be on safety of residents primarily during the day. This would include
safety in the common areas including the pool, playground, clubhouse and
grounds. We all need to understand that while we are continuing to add
neighbors on a weekly basis, we are still in a remote location.
Our committee will develop ties to other committees in The Preserve, as well
as the developer and particularly our emergency responders at North Chatham
Fire District and the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department.
The other prime area of interest will be the speed of traffic on our streets
by all drivers. This is an immediate concern of many residents.
Security:
Given
that The Preserve is a remote community in Chatham County, it is important
to have strong ties to our local law enforcement agencies. Please feel
free to contact any of us with your concerns, ideas, suggestions or
comments. Look for further information in The Preserve Perspective or in
updates sent to you directly from the Safety and Security Committee.
